| Coach Reith French Grip I have heard many good things about these grips but have never find it on the internet except in this discussion forum. What exactly are them? Would someone please show me a photo? Can I purchase them online?

| He used to have a site, alcazarfencing.com, that I believe had some pictures. There was no ecommerce capability, you'd just email him to arrange a purchase via mail. The site doesn't seem to be up anymore though. |

Edit: Praetorius just bought the last ones, damn you guys are vultures!

| I get mine from Absolute as well. If you call them up you can do a much better job of getting the feel of what you want as opposed to just emailing in a "send me an X" type order. They vary a great deal in sizing, cant and width so they are one of those things where I really think it is better to pick them out if you can.

| For some of the more curved ones, yes but it depends on the amount of curve.

| IMO they are a great improvement on the French grip. The larger ones provide stronger blade and defensive actions when choking up on the grip. The weight when combined with the right pommel is great for posting. They are super comfortable. I don't fence French usually, when I do thats what I use.

| I am using 2 kind of grip for my épées:
-Pistol grip, when I am fresh and beginning competitions (and depending of the size of my opponent )
With this kind I perform a stronger arm for powerful attack and I have got also a fast and strong footwork.
-French grip, usually when I am getting tired or for having a longer 'allonge'.
I am using it for defense meanings.
Anyway, it really depends how do you feel your fencing or the person you are opposing to.
In competition at a certain age, it's like a big family, we know each other and know how do we practice our style.

One of my italian friend brought me some of the curved SCHERMASPORT French Grips, I tried to bend the tang of my BF blade and tried to make it fits the grip. It took me 2 hours and I still couldn't get it in...at last, I gave up...and the BF blade is gone as I could not recover it back to a normal one...so it cannot fit in a regular french grip...
Any advise??
