From my recollection, here are some of the items:
- Referee tracking
- Obscure repechage-related issues, such as how the seeding is affected by withdrawals in the repechage rounds. If the USFA stops using repechage (let's hope) then this issue becomes less important.
- Better handling of the rules regarding protecting fencers with points when laying out pools.
- Updating the team seeding rules to reflect the new rules, and support for more team scoresheet options.
- Lots of minor UI enhancements

No. XSeed knows exactly what zero, one, or two clubs are associated with a fencer, and the data from XSeed used to update the USFA Web site do include the primary club. It's an administrative decision not to mention the club, not a technological limitation. -

I believe the club field is manually deleted from the results export before it is uploaded to the USFA site.

Array Ok, here is a more complete list of the changes coming in the next version of Fencing Time (including items mentioned before). Keep in mind that this list is just what I'm hoping to get done - some things may get pushed to the next-next version as I get a better sense of the priorities: - Referee tracking (names, ratings, club/division affiliation). Possibly, I'll add a quick "assign refs to pools/DE tableau" option that assigns refs minimzing division/club conflicts with the fencers.
- Check-in fencers using a barcode scanner to scan USFA cards.
- Fix obscure repechage-related issues, such as how the seeding is affected by withdrawals in the repechage rounds. If the USFA stops using repechage (let's hope) then this issue becomes less important.
- Better handling of the rules regarding protecting fencers with points when laying out pools.
- Updating the team seeding rules to reflect the new rules, and support for more team scoresheet options.
- Enhancements to the secondary display screen feature such as displaying things in pages rather than scrolling.
- Allow fencers to be manually moved between pools if no scores have been entered (to make quick fixes without having to restart the entire round)
- Lots of UI enhancements
While this list may look short, there are a lot of items too small to list here. (The actual to-do list is 75+ items long.) Also, there has been a lot of work on the internals of the program to support its future direction. The biggest significant change is the switch to persist fencer and club data in a SQL database. This is the first step in the ultimate goal of persisting the entire tournament state in the database so that it can be administered from multiple PCs at the same time. Of course, that also opens up the ability to set up remote kiosks that let people browse results, strip assignments, etc. at their leisure. All of that is probably two-versions out, but is where I'm headed.

I forget, can you print out an after pools seeding list that shows ups and downs (from the cut) distinctly? For example, by drawing a line under the last fencer promoted, or putting them in bold or something? -

I already have an item on the to-do list to make it more obvious, such as drawing a line or something like that.

Dan The suggestion about bolding the ups and italicizing the downs would probably be very visible. That's it, I'm done with the discussion forums on F.net. It's had its uses, but the ideologues, ranters, and "experts" have drowned too many of the conversations. I'm changing my password to something random and never logging in again. Similar Threads -
