| Published? Okay, so whose going to volunteer to clean this rather long (but entertaining) story up & see if we can turn it into something awesome? Anyone...anyone? This has the makings of an excellent collaboration.
Don't look at me like that, you guys...
That said, we should look at the legalities, costs, royalty split, etc...
Yes, I am serious. Remember: I'm the professional here!

#2 | | Guest | I've already printed all the important posts and intend to do some editing when I finish with camp. Then I'll repost it in its entirety. How's that sound? Call it a summer project.

| We've got a ways to go here...sounds like a good idea, though. What we have might be a chapter, maybe two. Figure we start it with the "Establishment of Arconia" thread as the prologue, then "The Longest Night" thread, a piece of the "Royal Costume Ball", then move on to the "Aftermath".

| Dame, if you're serious about editing it, I'll look into publishing it. If anything, I can put it into book form & mail it off to interested parties to show their friends. There are several ways we can go about it, & we could have a lot of fun.
This is REALLY a great story.

| it shouldn't be edited, it should include everything, including the insults, then it will sell. the cover should be bright yellow, with orange/red lettering:
Fencing on the NET - for dummies
Prologue:
This manuel is dedicated to couch-potatoes everywhere. In it are the musings, complaints, points of reference and images by a group of people dedicated to several things: fencing, the net and writing silly paragraphs. Every once in a while, one of our characters shifts off the couch and fences in a school reporting to the rest of the group their fencing progress. Many don't say a word about their fencing, but offer sage advice. Still other enjoy making up stories about fencing throughout the landscapes of their imaginations. The book is dedicated to the many people who love to fence, who hate to fence and most of all to the people who teach fencing - or at the very least, try to teach us fencing. The mad ramblings of arm-chair olypiads can be read from any web site on the earth, which should be enough to keep you OFF the board, but it isn't, nothing can keep us from writing, writing to the net and addressing the issues of fencing, masks, pants, and etc. I await the rebuttals of Space_a_cadet, and swordsman. The fact is, on this board, there is no story! That's the beauty of the Board! No Story, only a play by play accounting of people's barren lives, worked out on the board.! |

#8 | | Guest | Yeah, I'm serious about it. But we'll have to tie up the loose ends and add a bit more continuity. There are unanswered questions and some real bloopers where it jumps around a bit. But I think it will clean up nice. PLus it will give me something to do after I take camp and a science class.
Lets talk about this in earnest.

| I concur. For weeks now ive felt like we have stumbled upon something good here. Moon there's even a story in how i came up with the idea.(arconia)And guess what! its fencing related. Id rather not tell it on this public forum but id be glad to tell you personally by email or pm if you're interested. ..............arcon
I hope that all of you really know that arcon the character IS a persona. Although its hard to keep a lot of our on personality, and traits from showing in our
post and stories. Im truly excited and honored that so much creativity has come from this. I thought it would just be another post(establishment of arconia) that would run for a few days maybe a couple of weeks then die.
Arcon or Arconia is not about me (some may
think it is)
its become an outlet for creative writing, story telling and just plain fun for those with the imagination to enjoy. Space even has his place.
Thanks a lot you guys , really. For making all of this happen. Its a little ironic that im probaly the worst speller and writer here.
If you dont believe me you know who to ask. hehehehehe
Arcon

| Thanks to Arconia, Willow & I are interested in writing a fantasy together.
I've been heavily involved in editing Secrets of the Maiden for a return to the published world, so this outlet for my creativity has been most appreciated....despite those who couldn't play along like nice boys & girls.

| I think the fact that it was written entirely on the boards and with people contributing like that is a selling point in itself, no?
Sorry I didn't contribute. I can't write for toffee. I have the picture of the flag ready though. How do I post it?
