Two of those touches end with Getz being driven backwards so fast he loses his footing. Once, he goes off the strip. The second, he loses his footing again. The third is disputed by the FAW crew, who believe it's parry-riposte, but Benson calls the attack as arriving.
At 44-all in overtime, Getz doesn't want to take that kind of abuse, so he stalks Meinhardt, and makes a feint-high, fleche-low. Meinhardt doesn't bite on the feint, catches the blade aimed at his flank, and somehow sneaks the riposte in.
I didn't watch the whole match, but it was a sweet final.
Also: Salle Mauro over SFFC for bronze - Alex Kosh makes a good run, but the score entering his bout with Sutter was 39-mid 20s.
