Olympic Track/Field 800M Qualifier-Go Vermont!

You've got to appreciate this 800 meter race, no matter what sport you compete in. A bit of something for everyone.

Wheating and his story (finished second) are amazing on their own (hence the "go Vermont!" title), but the entire race is a thing of beauty. Tactics, strength of mind, and determination on exhibit.

Oh, and a face plant, too!

Wow.... I didn't actually see the race myself, but I was present, near Hayward Field, while it was happening.
