| Green Sabre Blades? Hello
Hey, im new here, so im going to start of with a question thats been bugging me for a good while. i was at my club about a month ago, give or take, and remarked that i have never seen a green sabre blade. one of my fellow fencers said that there were green sabres, but that they were hard to come by. another said that they were at the US Nationals. is there anyone with any knowledge about said green blades? im perfectly content with my black russian, but when that thing breaks, im gonna need a new blade. please supply me with any info that you can. thanks. |

| was it litterally green, or was it a rainbow blade? I've got rainbow blades on my epees and sometimes they look green, depending on how the light is hitting them.
Actually, I was at a tournament at purdue university and there was a blade vendor there. He had blue and green sabre blades for sale. Other than that, I've never really seen them in action. |

Meanwhile, apropos des bottes, the Shift key is near the bottom left side of most QWERTY keyboards. If you hold it down, any letter you type will be capitalized! Pretty amazing, eh? Try it sometime! ( I suggest the initial letter of each sentence and of personal pronouns to start. For advanced students, try it for the first letter of proper nouns and acronyms. Amaze your friends with your correct English! )

| I don't know if they exist (my guess is that they probably do). Generally, blades are uncolored, or come in gold or blue. If you want something unusual like green, you're going to have to look around at a bunch of vendors and possibly call them to ask for it specifically. |

You must be new to the internet.
You could easily avoid this type of thread drift by simply pressing shift every once in a while. Of course, capitalizing the correct words.

Correct English is not about your own convenience. It is about being understood clearly, and about respecting your reader enough to put in the effort. This is especially the case when you are asking for their help with something.
If you don't respect us enough even to make your posts easy for us to read, how can you expect to be respected in return?
And really, how difficult is it to hit that shift key at the appropriate times? It's not asking a lot, is it?

| There's the Poz-Pro from LP, a shiny black, which I don't think you can get anymore. ?
Then there's LM, a matte black, which you can get from Swordmasters and probably elsewhere.
Then there's also that fact that no one should care about what color the blade is, or you could blacken it yourself very easily and for cheaper.

Did you take a look at the previous posts? Punctuation is good, but needs more capitols. http://www.fencingstar.com/ProductDe...hinaSaberBlade
Chinese, but $11.
There was the Pozdnyakov-Pro, but it seems to not be on LP's site anymore, which makes me think it was discontinued.

| Sorry, can't find it anywhere. Imagine an StM blade, but a matte black, and it says LM.
They're nice, but they're pricey. Not worth it, if you ask me.

| I believe I saw a green sabre blade at the Portland NAC.
For some reasons, sabre blades tend to be more colored. Part of my theory about it is that it's because conductivity up and down the blade is more important, and the coatings can help prevent corrosion, a little.

There are very few maraging blades on the market, so saber blades get pretty rusty. You need something to take care of that.

| I haven't seen the matte black LM blades in a while. I did a quick survey of the vendors at Nationals today and saw none. I saw no blue S+Ms either, just the rainbow ones.
I did see one table with very brightly colored blades, though: almost chrome colors. Red, gold, blue...no green, though.
