    Going to Beijing: Got spray?

Millions of voracious locusts could be descending on Beijing during the Olympics, but not to worry: Big Red Spray

Not only are the locusts merely following millennia of genetic programming, officials have the problem well in hand. Sure, it may take over 200 tons of insecticides, but the verminators are officials, and they know what's best for all of us.

So just listen to what they say, let them do what they think best, and we'll all be the better for it in Beijing.

PLEASE! The article says they're dumping all that stuff in northern China--not in city of Beijing.

"It was not clear how serious of a threat the locusts posed to Beijing. There have been no reports of the pest flying from Inner Mongolia to the Chinese capital in recent years, Xinhua said"

This is all a part of the cunning plan to get rid of the algae that are currently choking the sailing venue.

The locusts are being secretly re-trained to eat the said algae.

See? The people in charge have a plan. Let's just get out of their way and practice our unquestioning obedience. In time, we too can all be re-trained.

Just like the grasshoppers. Have a hoppy day!

Your signature is mucking up your sheepishly triumphant tone (requiring quite complex facial muscles*).

*Argh, I can't find the quote.

There, better now? I suppose I should have asked someone in authority if it was OK to change my signature, though.

That is probably the most brilliant signature I have ever seen.
