| Online National Tournament Registration So what gives? Does anyone know any details about this post on the USFA website?? The US Fencing Association is pleased to announce that we will be offering Online National Tournament Registration beginning with the 2008-2009 Season. We are working to have this service available to our Members in August 2008.
Are they going to use askFred? Is it some completely new angle? And the timing in rather interesting. NO that is not innuendo! Just puzzlement that there haven't been any other communications. Why after all this time? Did someone just finally get the message? Uh, oh! Here's hoping this is just what it purports to be.

the reason i put it on hold is because it is basically a big middle finger to the USFA, and i'd rather see something that works with them than on top of them. |

| It was developed under contract by a consulting company headed by a fencer. It DOES NOT introduce a new database, yet, so there is still manual work for the staff to make it work. A new database effort, as has been discussed here, is planned. |

| Hey, another broken USFA website! I got my 30-day notice that my membership will expire, and a URL ( http://www.ersvp.com/a.htm/USFA) that takes me to an obscure error message.
They also sent me my username and password in clear text. And the e-mail is signed by "The Team"
How professional.

| I'm sure everyone is doing the best darned job they possibly can. There's no need to be a Grumpy Gus. People just WANT to do the right thing, and if we stand back and give them all our support and encouragement, there's no issue that can't come up in roses.

How professional. | I got this today too, but hadn't followed the link. The part about the userid/password in plain text made me chuckle though.
I think I'll wait and renew my membership at the first tournament I fence next season... |

"The Team" could have saved some time and just sent this picture. |
