| Thanks for the pics! Wow, I have to say, I had never seen the pattern on the inside of the shoe, and I have to say that I don't like it at all, hmmm. It probably won't stop me from purchasing a pair, but I really wish they would have come up with something else. The mesh for the tongue and the outside wall looks great though! Should provide lots of ventilation and help to keep it all very cool. Looks nice though, overall!

| I hope the old Adistars go down because of these. I can't see myself paying 180 for a pair of shoes. I am using some Adidas running shoes right now. They are ok but the soles aren't going to last too long.
Honestly I prefer a thinner sole on teh shoe. I have tried on some Stables and they just felt bulky

| thanks very much for the photos! it seems as though ventilation won't be a problem on the adiStars.... i've got to admit-the new adiStars look pretty funky (in a good way). the En Garde 510s look pretty awesome too. both seem to be a little bit on the bulky side though. hopefully adidas resurrects the Assymetrics soon though... ^_^ |

| I've seen the new adistars. They looks like shoes. They are an improvement on the old D'arts though.
Oh; they are half covered in what I can only describe as nipples.
Enjoy! |

| I think there are definitely cheaper ways to get the same technology through Adidas racketball, badminton and other sport shoes as others have pointed out.
I'm really surprised how similar the new D'arts look to my Stabil 2's. I got those on a clearance sale for $30 Canadian. |

After fencing 3 events at the nationals in them, I have to say that they are holding up very well, and I am very satisfied. The extra heel-cushioning is really helpful, but I have to say, the trailing foot does feel slightly awkward (compared to the asymmetrics.)
My one complaint is that they are slightly tight around where the outside toe (the smallest one) meets the foot. This is remedied by loosening the laces slightly near that area and making sure the tongue is pulled up as far as possible. I think, after breaking the shoes in properly, that this will not be a problem, though. |

| I just saw the new D'arts in the olympics section by adidas. They don't look like the D'arts on allstar uhlmann but they are very similar, and relativily cheap too. They are the lightster bejing. |

| I should have the Adistar Lo and the D3s in a couple days before the first, which means Craig will too... No idea on price yet, we're getting killed with the Euro... |

| I was browsing ebay, and came across some shoes called "Starfighters." There aren't many pictures of them, but one picture showed a raised inside heel support like the Adidas Asymmetricals. Has anyone tried these? |

Has anyone tried these? | Are they the same cheeeeeeeeap shoes from ten plus years ago? With a cheesy starfish-looking thing weilding a weapon? Never tried 'em. I may have a lot of self-esteem, but I don't want to get laughed at THAT badly! |

Has anyone tried these? | The Starfighter 3s are asymmetric, they're the in-house shoe for Blade/Fencesmart they're ugly, and oh god I've told Stan that the logo is kinda "meh" but for a cheap asymmetric shoe, they're not bad. |
