MPL is on a distinguished road
Iraqi Paralympic Fencers

There's a video on the front page of www.nytimes.com focusing on the Iraqi paralympic fencing team for this year. I was wondering if anyone else has seen it. It's embedded on the front page of the site and I can't figure out how to link to it.

Interesting story. I thought that paralympic fencing involved being a fixed distance from your opponent with no chair movement. Were they practicing moving just for strength training or am I missing something?

I didn't see them moving while training...

"The country that has been in three wars in two decades has a remarkably robust and competitive Paralympic team."

I hate to point this out, but I think a country ravaged by war having a robust Paralympic team is actually far from remarkable. Unfortunately, the have a much wider talent base of paralympic athletes than most countries.

Did anyone else notice that the symbol above the door is remarkably similar to the fencing.net one?
