In the end, we couldn't get the required number of signatures for the recall. The most common reasons given for not signing were fear of retribution or garden variety apathy. Thank you, Eric, for providing our noob posters with a wonderful example of how not to behave.

Array Where is that thread on NJ Division politics? I need to read something more positive after reading this one.

Can we create a special forum for those who want to bash the previous administration for all the wrongs committed (real or perceived)? I promise I won't reply. I also promise I won't read it. Because I don't give a flying...
The rest of us can move on to THIS years' administration so we can talk about entirely new petty disagreements next quad. I mean, come on, this is fencing, not energy policy or Fannie Mae's balance sheet.
Making personal insults over a game played by a tiny minority (and a good many of those are Captain Jack Sparrow or Lord of The Rings wannabes) is just rather pathetic. -

-m I jest calls 'em as I sees 'em and I'm happy to be a roll (sic) model for any would-be poster children.
FYI, sometimes a two by four is the only way to knock someone off their high horse, or shatter complacency.
Since I am not afraid of attribution, why don't you reveal your secret identity to our studio audience, so we can fully appreciate the depth of experience and knowledge your bring to this forum? -

Yeah, my identity is a closely guarded secret... It's not like I've said it any number of times and it's common knowledge on this forum. To somewhat prove my point, rather than me posting my name, I'll just offer rep to the first person to correctly post it here. Hell, you could figure it out easily enough just using the name "Mike" and my location.

200 or so years ago a bunch of people in Boston got pissed off and threw many, many bags of tea in their harbor.....
There is a guy named Phelps, or something like that, is a pretty good swimmer.....
Way to keep up Rosey. I guess you truely only do know one name on this site. Pull your head out of your "How to fence foil" book you bought off ebay and....nevermind. -

So, "Mike." I know your name, but I still don't know who you are. I have never heard of you mentioned in any competitive, administrative, parental or coaching context.
What have you actually done in the world of fencing that would make us want to sit up and listen?
Enlighten me. -

Enlighten me. I can say that he's written a lot of well reasoned posts, and been willing to civilly discuss those ideas even when he's wrong. (Though epeeists are rarely wrong, they just were a little off on the timing.) -

Enlighten me. it isn't mike's job to inform you of who he is. the only reason its being brought up is because he said something you specifically didn't like, and it seems you're somehow trying to pull an appeal to authority fallacy or straw man. all of the other anonymous posters who were agreeing with you didn't need to clarify their credentials.
and apparently neither did you, since you were posting partly anonymously until someone else outed your exact identity. so it can't be anything other than a "i'm trying to prove i'm somehow more important than you so your opinion doesn't matter" move, which everyone knows doesn't work on the internet.
