How is this disenfranchising anyone? If you're not a member, you don't get a vote. If you're not an adult, you don't get a vote. Give kids the vote? Maybe. I guess. Give non-members the vote? Seriously?

While I could care less about the majority of those who questioned my facility for accessing on line information (I can take it just as well as dishing it out), I am a bit dismayed over the fact that you likely saw my prior on-line requests for the '07 minutes in previous postings. If you had access to this information several months ago, why didn't you post or send it to me in a private email?

And now it dawns on you.

Sometimes, people who are under no obligation to help you are the ones best able to help you.... and in order for them to help you, they have to want to.

You are correct. I will leave this thread to you and your fellow flies, buzzing about your safe little hive, doing nothing, changing nothing, accomplishing nothing; just buzzing.

One of the people posting on the thread was just elected USFA Secretary, another was elected as one of the USFA Vice-Presidents, and at least three are now reps to the USFA Board of Directors. I think it's a stretch to say that those people are "doing nothing". They've stepped up and plan on tackling problems once they take office in the next month or so.

By contrast, I don't recall seeing your name on any ballots...

Since when do flies live in a hive?

....and all of them sat idly by as former officers or board members while Nancy demonstrated her incompetence, Massik ran amok, deficits mounted to unimaginable levels, athletes begged for their funding and no one was held accountable. Now they're really going to step up. (Of course, that excludes Capt. slo-mo, who devoted his prodigious intellect toward his family's never ending but truly productive quest to bash Ed Korfanty) You're right about the hive thing. Flies usually buzz around a material with which you are intimately familiar.

Of the group I cited, only Brad was on the BoD last (well, technically still this) year. And I doubt anyone would call him "idle". The rest of the people I mention are new blood, so why pre-judge them before seeing what they can accomplish?

Your unrelenting bitterness makes me wonder if anyone would meet your standard of "competence". The irony is that you and your ilk couldn't even run an effective recall campaign, so your standard of "competence" is somewhat suspect...

From Eric's posts on this thread, perhaps he believes change is not possible. I tend to differ with that thought and point of view. Being negative is never going to help improve any condition, calling people names, belittling them in a public, criticizing others faults or whining won't get the job done. I do not live in the past, however, I do learn from it and look to what I can do to make the future better. It is easy to say we did nothing this last administration while the Association spiraled out of control. This is not true for the fact that we as the new slate coming to take office in August, stepped forward, submitted our names for consideration of office, interviewed a number of times for the position, discussing current problems and what directions we would need to secure the future of our Association. We have been active in these forums and answered the questions set forth for us. To label us as the same, or to infer that we are going to keep the current administrations course is flawed and it shows the fact that you are not willing to work with us to improve the condition of the Association. Eric, I have worked with you in the past and have great respect for the ideas you have come forth with. The beginnings of Regionalization was a plan you presented to me when I was Chair of the Tournament Committee and has actively been worked on since, with great success. I hope you want to assist in the future to improving our sport and as always I welcome your comments but let's now move to the future, not live in the past.
