Shouldn't the request more properly be made to the Secretary? Possibly the Treasurer? Also, why not send a copy of the request to Counsel, if you have a belief that failure to provide it to you actually gives rise to some jeopardy to tax-exempt status--which seems... unlikely.

Array Not that I want to detract from the name-calling, but I have a dumb question: Why does the agenda start on page 85? Is this normally appended to some other benign document?

Well, at least he's not shooting people who "diss" him.

Why Dillworth? Why stick around? Dilworth is co-chair of the budget and finance committee established at the 2008 JO BOD meeting that was charged with reviewing the USFA finances and reporting back. He personally told me the mandatory audited financial report would be made available ASAP; back in March. I also repeated my request by phone and email to USFA lawyer-in-chief Donald Alperstein. This report is now 11 months overdue.
Why stay around? I have a personal interest in many of the top athletes and their coaches who have been affected by the Anderson administration's mismanagement. I have known, worked with and mentored them for years, and I care about how they are treated.
Who do I love? I have known Kalle Weeks for many years, and believe she is far more competent than Nancy (but then again, so is a sea slug). However, I am deeply disappointed in her choice of advisors, lack of openness, and failure to take issue with or even address the current administration's problems. Wouldn't it be nice to see some semblance of a business plan for the next four years? I don't know much about Hurley, other than the fact that as the mother of the top two women’s epeeists, she is justifiably upset over how the WE national program has been mishandled.
Given Kalle's choice of gurus, I don't think much will change for the better. Hurley is a big question mark, but the entrenched USFA apparatchiks will fight her tooth and nail if she tries to shake things up.
Are there good people out there? Yup. But we are at the point where the entrenched bad people have pushed them away. There are some excellent professional coaches, like Ed Korfanty and Yury Gelman, who have been treated like dirt. There are some true sages, like Mike Morgan, who could make invaluable contributions if properly enfranchised.
I’m sorry if I’m losing style points with the “let’s play nice in the sandbox” crowd, but we need a purge.

Array Fallacy of bifurcation. Why not try offering both at once?

Your points may or may not be valid, I'm frankly far too new to all of this to have an opinion one way or another; but you're not going to win many converts to your cause if people have a hard time getting past the vitriol to the information.
And it's been an issue in pretty much every thread that can even tenuously be tied to the current USFA leadership, causing many otherwise promising conversations to get derailed into hopeless name-calling and general unpleasantness. -

I've learned my lesson. Next time I'll spice things up with some pithy selections from Bartlett's Familiar Quotations; maybe a few choice phrases in Latin. That's always sure to impress. Similar Threads -
