And another complaint

Among all the subjects that we've broached in these threads, here's one more that I really think should be up for consideration by whoever wins the election. Found this while waiting for the USFA website to respond:

Site Stats for usfencing.org:

* Usfencing.org has a traffic rank of: 261,390 (down14,945)
* Speed: Slow (74% of all sites are faster)
* Other sites that link to this site: 69174
* Online Since: 18-Mar-1999

Do you have suggestions for what it should be? I'm a little short on ideas of how to increase our "Online Since" score, but I'm sure you've got some great suggestions.

frankly, its just a mediocre website that looks like it was built in 2002. it needs to be revamped and redone in such a way that it becomes
1) easier to use
2) easier to integrate with the outside world. a well done RSS feed would most likely almost double its traffic.
3) easier to monetize. that credit card banner and the fencing vendors is all they have. i bet they could do better.

Sorry didn't know you were responsible for the website. But now that we do, how about we follow noodle's suggestions? Simply pay a little more and get some speed and maybe some storage? Hey if EDEW can get WineSpies to donate for the BayCup there must be someone out there who would be willing to do something for the USFA. OR Maybe be nice to Paul Levy. He seems to be well able to find donors.

"enough" space and speed would probably cost about $20/mo..

It would also be nice if usfa.org redirected to usfencing.org.

Anyone else laugh at how JJeffries completely missed the humor of this post and assumed it meant that KD5MDK is actually our webmaster?

I always try to treat people as they present themselves. It's a matter of respect for others. For all I know he may have a hand in the website. If there's humor it then it involves someone being a wannabe which at best is sad humor.

So bigdawg2121, are you really big? or just a pup?

Honestly, he's on the short size, but seems to do well enough on strip anyway.

Dude, he presented himself as someone making a joke about your apparent desire to fix a number of things related to the website. One of the things you listed was the "online since" date (which can't be changed, FYI). The humor is in the fact that you continue your recent streak of eschewing logic and reason in favor of some outrageous interpretation of the situation (i.e. that KD5MDK is somehow related to the running of the website).

I may in fact be a pup but some dogs should be put out to pasture...

Hey, you gotta use a train of thought that your often confused and conspiracy theory obsessed audience can jive with.
