I use Opera, and lately it hasn't been loading images unless I right-click and select "reload image" for each and every image, which gets annoying to do every time. I've checked out the site on Firefox and IE, and there's no problem with the images there, so it seems browser-specific. Is there an easy fix to this or do I have to just deal with it?

Avatars, buttons ("Reply With Quote", Multi-Quote This Message", "Quick reply to this message" etc.), rep dots, smilies, the go to last post or unread post arrows, basically anything that's an image rather than text.
I used to use Firefox, was having some issues with it so I switched to Opera. I've considered switching back, but there are some things I like more about Opera... I'll have to check out the new version, though I suspect it won't be any different than the last version was in terms of the tabs- I usually have a LOT of tabs open, and Opera has them small while Firefox has the scrolling, which I don't like.

You have a ton of options with this. many of the Add-Ons modify the behaviour of tabs. Plus if you do a bit of googling you will find instructions on how you can manually edit the size of tabs (if you don't want to use an add-on).

You seem used to Firefox. I recently switched to Firefox 3 (from IE 7) and really miss the little "New Tab" tab that IE has. Now I have to right-click and choose "New Tab", which is not a huge problem, but a small annoyance nevertheless...
I looked through the tab options but couldn't find a setting for this, any idea on how to get that little empty New Tab tab to show in Firefox?

I have a heavily customised version of FF so I forget what's there and what isn't in the basic release. Get yourself Tab Mix Plus. As far as I know it's the best of the bunch in terms of Tab abilities. That will give you this option plus a lot of others.
Or you could just hit ctrl+t
Don't forget to set the tab bar to always show (if you like it that way).

you can also doubleclick an empty spot in the tab bar and get a new tab. or hit ctrl+t.
I looked the Tab Mix Plus addon up, but it was outdated for FF3. Instead, listedn on the same page, I found an addon called Basics 3.0.1 that seems to do exactly what I'm looking for.

I actually did spend a good chunk of last night doing this. There are no add-ons that I could find that do what I want, and the directions I found when googling only allow 29 tabs to show before it starts to scroll. I regularly have more than 29 tabs open. Yes, I know I'm addicted to tabs.
Edit- Tab issue aside, I seem to still be having the same problems that made me stop using Firefox before- namely, I don't see the point in using a browser that frequently crashes or stops responding. There are a lot of features in Firefox that I love, but if using it causes me so much frustration, I'd rather stick with Opera.

29 tabs... hope you have a good sized monitor. What is it that you want it to do?
You can stack tabs, you can group them, you can "dock" them. I've seen various modifications. There are various mods you can do yourselfl. I've used Firefox (and mozilla before it) from it's original Alpha stage.

That's your choice. I am not going to evangelise software. However my experience is that this should not be the case.
If you do want to give Firefox a go make sure you use a clean install rather than installing over your old one. That will help iron out any problems you are having.

I just always have a lot of tabs open, for regular everyday stuff, as well as the comics and blogs that I read daily.

Yeah, well, my computer's pretty screwed up anyway. I have issues with lots of stuff. I'm planning to get a new one next spring, if not sooner.

Good point, I hadn't thought of that. I'll give that a try, I'm not ready to give up on Firefox quite yet.

Opera is a fine browser anyway.
Yeah, I like Opera, but I like Firefox too; there are a lot of features I really like about it. The thing that really got me to stop using it last year was just all the freezing and crashing.
