Where & When

Whhhhew. Room's looks empty. No posts for a day. Even Inq has withdrawn. Guess it's all been said, all the electioneering, baby kissing, arm twisting, promising's over. Now just the long wait until the votes are gathered in as of the 25th of this month.

Just one question, I pose to the webmice - those little creatures that stir around in the electronic dust of abandoned websites (there are those ghost town like places on the web you know with posts that are years old and dated).

When and where will the final tallies be announced/posted?

San Jose during Summer Nationals?

What b*tching rights can the losers claim? Just curious if Craig needs to keep this subdirectory open.

Best regards all and to all a good fight

I heard from a good source that the USFA is going to tally the results at nationals. I wonder if that is true and how they picked the tally crew?

If the votes are never counted, can the Emperor just appoint Darth Va---er, I mean, the wicked NC slate it favors to be the interim officers and carry on? I mean, is there a deadline for counting the votes and announcing the results?

LOL the byaws don't list a specific process so they could do it however they see fit.

I can see Darth EC walking around the USFA flagship "You will make the votes match these percentages, the NC slate will win" and then I see the little fencers counting the votes "The NC slate will win, we will count the votes"

Funny, BUT . . . Goldern it, the nominated slate is not a puppet of the USFA, (whatever you mean by "the USFA," since everybody running and everybody voting is a USFA member). The nominating committee was made up of people who aren't USFA insiders, and we acted independently, nominating people who are just as much a reform slate as the alternate slate is.

This odd little meme presents a good example of what keeps urban legends from disappearing, and why people can't name all the continents or the three branches of the US government.

I think he was just playing off my sarcastic little metaphor, Peach.
