    Hello from SoIL

    Hello I have never fenced and there are no clubs in SoIL, but I refuse to let that stop me. I am glad to have found this site and welcome the chance to learn more about this sport.

    Welcome. When you start fencing, ask for a foil.

    Hey!!!

    Nein is correct

    The Foil is the King's Weapon, the Supreme weapon and not the pedestrian weapon (epee) or the vulgar, caveman-like weapon (sabre).

    Go to usfencing.org and look for clubs in your area. Surely there's a club in SOIL...Soil, I like that. You live in Soil, the morass that is not fencing.

    No time like the present to pick yourself up, grab a foil, and join the Sport of Kings!!!

    siu fencing contact

    Hi,
    The person currently running the club at Southern Illinios University in Carbondale is Ian Thompson, cell 217-691-8814.
    The uni is out for the summer, and Ian is fencing in Springfield for the summer, meets Wed evenings at 6pm and Sat at 11am.
    There is also a small club in Edwardsville.
