I predict serious problems to arise from this. Releasing Day schedules at this point is proper and appreciated. But check-in times this far in advance? A bad idea. Theres absolutely no way to know the size of the events, within a + or - 15% and that could lead to serious delays, double and triple flighting of events, and other things that fall in the "bad tournament practices" category.

I wonder if these were even made up in consultation with the TC or did someone just take it upon themselves to do it?

Haven't looked through everything yet... but NAC B... Junior Men's Foil and Junior Men's Epee on the same day? Two hours apart...

Those are probably the two largest events on the weekend (maybe by having them both on the same day and having that day be a Friday will keep the numbers down a bit)? Should be F-U-N.

There are only two other events that day (Y-14WF and Y-14WE), so it shouldn't be that bad... as long as we have enough space to start the Epee pools and the Foil DEs at the same time... interestingly, no Sabre on Friday? All you Sabre only refs get to skip one day of the NAC I guess.

wolfercdat - I think a key part of the Gaylord question is what kind of discount the USFA negotiated. I know it was substantial on the rooms ($129 springs to mind) but have no idea about the food, parking etc.

Just imagine the *****ing that will occur when some unforeseen event requires that the times be changed, and the chorus of agonized "But I already bought my plane tickets 8 months ago!" we'll hear...

You're right. If USFA negotiated a good deal (and $129 a room is REALLY good) then it could make all the difference in the world. It was a great place to stay and I think it will be popular with alot of folks.
