| Another hello from Florida
So - I'm really bad about checking forums, but we'll see how this goes. ::grin::
Hallo! I'm in Orlando, Fl and am getting back into Fencing. I first was exposed to it over a decade ago, when my brother in law and I used to play around with some sabres he had laying about. The bug bit me then, but I could neither afford nor had the time for it.
So - fast forward to last weekend, when my fiance, I, and another couple headed up to the Georgia Ren Faire, and the fencing there was actual USFA fencing. Two matches later, I was hooked again.
I'm actually heading out to the Orlando Fencing Academy tonight to check out their site and what their schedule is.

| Drive over to Lakeland next weekend for the Sunshine State Games and check out the fencing. It will be good, although some of Florida's better fencers won't be there  .

I was just bummed by some of the names I didn't see on the registration confirmation (Florida's only 3 foils A's, several of its B's).

| Hey, ill see you guys at the sunshine state games. Hey Harry. Hopefully i win Div 3 so i get my C08 so i get a top seed at nationals. None of the Florida As will be at the tournament, although some Bs will along with some good Cs |

I tried to get in touch with the Orlando Academy of Fencing, but they're apparently on summer hours. I may be relegated to getting a few practice sabres and fooling around during the summer while I wait for classes in the fall.

And you'll get a chance to meet the various Orlando coaches (~four clubs in the metro area) and fencers.
