So, I've fenced in them now.

I love them. THey're wonderful. Relatively cool, a good fit, and extremely comfortable. I don't have a great deal of experience with knickers, but these are the most comfortable I've worn so far. It's close fitting where I want it to be, and loose where I don't.
The fabric is pretty smooth, and while it doesn't stretch a lot, it stretches enough to make the close fit they are work perfectly.
Pretty light for FIE knickers, yet heavy enough that they absorb a little impact. Solid and well made. I've taken sewing classes, and I can say that a lot of thought and work went into these.

    I'd say an excellent choice.
I'll have them with me this weekend, of course, so you can take a look at them if you like.

    Mr. Paul: Sydney/London availability?

Mr. Paul, I'd love to know the answers the above questions, too—especially the first one. I see that your website indicates a three-week turn around for the Sydney; is it actually longer right now? Do you still offer to make the Sydney with additional length, and does that take additional time? Or do you have any plans to make the tall sizes you mentioned available in the Sydney range?

    Thanks.

I got mine at SN, and while I like the fit, couple of things seem strange:
    - the label inside says Atlanta, there's no mention of "team 360" anywhere
    - it's not Atlanta, at least by black stitching
    - the material does not seem to stretch at all

That would sound like a real drawback.

It does stretch... Not a lot, by most standards. I'd say it's more accurate to say it has some give in it, enough that a close fitting uniform doesn't catch or restrict movement much.

I got my kit about 3 weeks ago. Knickers fit great but the jacket was a little short in the sleeves and waist and a little baggy, which is no problem. I sent it back and am going to order a smaller, tall size when they come out.

As far as material goes, it's really nice. Thick but not heavy and breathable. It's a pretty stark white and the contrast stitching looks really good. The cut is nice but I would suggest if you want a tighter fit, order a size down from what you initially think will fit. It's a really smooth fabric and has no panels. I honestly think that it's a top kit for getting the most bang for you buck.

I'll piggy back on what Nolan said, it's got decent give. To be honest, I haven't really seen FIE kit that has this magical super stretch I keep hearing about. Except for maybe Negrini

Most standard sizes in Sydney are actually in stock and will probably ship same day, the warning is just there so customers don't get upset if it isn't in stock. Odd sizes and Left handed will probably be made when they are ordered and will realistically take 2 weeks at the moment but we say 3 to be on the safe side.

The Team range is going to be available in long sizes which adds 2 inches to sleve, body and inside leg. These will be available from mid August but will not be fully stocked until the beginning of 09.

We will be able to add extra length to the Sydney/London range but there will not be a standard "long" size as such. Extra length will be custom cut and made to the customer request and will be a 10% up charge.

Sorry that the labels in the current team range say 326 rather than 360, we were let down by our supplier.

As I have said in other threads FIE "stretch" cloth is massively expensive and there is a price performance trade off between
    Stretch
    Whiteness
    thinness
    flexibility

The more of these features you have and the greater they have each atribute the more the cloth price goes up.

To my knowledge the Sydney material is the thinnest, whitest stretchiest available anywhere in the world as we want it to be the best in the world. The end result is that it is expensive.

Thank you for the comments, Alex.
While I probably sound a little grumpy about stretchiness, I do like the uniform. I tried on the FIE jackets and knickers from every vendor at SN before buying the LP Team, and the only one who came close in fit and feel for me was Estoc.

No problem, you didn't sound grumpy at all but I just like people to know that there is no such thing as a free lunch equipment wise. You pretty much get what you pay for!

We are pleased with the Team range and I think it is a great product at a great price.

To both of you, good feedback. I think this is the kind of info that should be entered in the Equipment Reviews section.

Hmm, sounds like maybe I should have waited for the tall sizes. The knickers fit very well, overall, but are just the tiniest bit short.

I'll probably get the tall size jacket, though. While I'm not an overly tall person, I have a very long torso.

I just got my jacket/FIE kit today. I got a 42" size even tho by my measures a 40" would have been a tighter/closer fit. It's somewhat large at the hands but I do have skinny arms, not very large, just not a tight fit.

The label still says Atlanta 326.
The only problem that it has is with the FIE logo, it was sown backwards. Not a big deal but still, the QC should have seen that.

The 404M plastron is somewhat rigid and uncomfortable. I hope I'll get used to it, if not, I might get the 402M or the full body 400.

I also got a medium 280CX mask but it's small. I'll have to exchange it with a large one.

The breeches were not in the package so I can't comment on them yet, hopefully they will arrive soon.

It took 6 days from the order date to receive the package, kudos for that.

My next equipment purchase will likely be a new set of knickers. My Uhlmann 2001 WC are nice, but they aren't terribly stretchy (not that I have much by which to compare them). It will be a long while before I am ready to make this purchase, but I suspect the options will be LP, Negrini, and Escrime (once they have their FIE line).
