Array Theater Fencing Loctions After finally receiving my spring US Fencing Mag, I realized that there are other military fencers in theater and have been able to start up clubs. If any one has contacts or locations of fencers the AOR please let me know. In my position I travel both theaters, ITO as well as ATO quite frequently. I'm usually only in for a week at best before moving on to the next FOB or back to my home base out of Qatar. I would greatly love to stop by a club if possible to get in some bouting on a rare occasion. -

Array I was just reading over my own threat and let me first appologize 1) my very bad typing and 2) using too many acronyms.
ITO refers to Iraq Theater of Operation.
ATO is the Afghanistan Theater of Operation.
AOR is inclusive all theaters.
FOB refers to Forward Operating Base.
Again I appologize if the initial message was unclear.
Please, any service member who might be able to help with any info would be appreciated.

The word theater here is used in this sense: Theater of War. -

Many thanks for the Camp Victory info. I was stuck there for several days back in April. Will be moving through that neck of the woods in a few days but won't have much time. Shouldn't be too hard to locate SSGT Gorman (hopefully). I should be able to buy his email address for a bag of donuts. -

Good luck with your fencing. You know Phrogger, I've got this mental image of me going through the PAX terminal on my way to Baghdad and being stopped for trying to take an Epee onboard but they'll let me fly with my 9mm.
I was flying out of Baghdad last time and a young Airman motioned for me to walk through the metal detector. I just look down at him and laughed and said you've got to be kidding me. He just said "I know sir, but they make everyone go through". We were all carrying weapons. -
Dan's back in Houston. As a reservist, I'm not sure how much he checks his .mil email. I'd try contacting Salle Mauro directly to see what he knows about these days, or PM forum member Mergs. -

I'll also see what the Camp Victory Public Affairs Office might have. Similar Threads -
