Array Sweet dreams, fencing. I just had a dream that the entire Olympic Fencing event was broadcasted on prime time television.
And all the viewers thought it was boring, so they changed the channel. "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. And from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Dinosaurs nuzzling their young in pastures where strip malls should be. Cookies on dowels. All those moment, lost in time. Gone, like eggs off a hooker's stomach. Time to die" -Phil Ken Sebben -
That sounds more like a nightmare. o_o
When I play fencing in my dorm and leave the door open tons of people stop and watch for a lot longer than I'd expect them to. Of course, they don't understand what's going on so I answer the same questions a million times. "Why is that light green and that light red? What does white mean? Why did the Italian get the point and not the German?" But they love to see the flicks. "Oh my God, that was crazy!" -

Array So, anyone know what presence fencing might have in the media this Olympics? Any possibility of even a late-night bout on network or cable TV? Will webcasts be available on Fencing Channel or anywhere else? There is a Chinese website set up which contains the notice: "This official website will feature spectacular videos:" http://www.fencing2008.org.cn/en/video/index.html
Anybody know anything? I'd love to have a late-night fencing party and stream videos to a projector. -

Array I recentlly had a dream in which the fencers from the high school I graduated from were fencing in the campus center of the college I graduated from, and no one had graduated. Up and down stairs. Now, in retrospect, the campus center has enough interesting catwalks and open spaces that you could easily choreograph an interesting swordfight. But.... no one in my high school or college teams has enough dexterity to fence up and down stairs the way they were in my dream, so the point is moot.
I wouldn't worry about it too much. -

Craig Like a video podcast of all the bouts?
That would be awesome. -

Array Kind of like how they televised "whole" the gold medal bout with Mariel Zagunis and the score went from 4 to 13 in one action? Either it is the new math or she is crazy fast. Score 3 strokes, 4 seizures and 2 brain surgeries
I've had brain surgery, what's your excuse? Similar Threads -
