Array Vendor venting re my bank... OK....if you have a merchant in a foriegn country who has a street address that includes the name of his bank (literally...it's not 123 Main St, it's "behind (his bank)" then the city)....andthagt bank changes names, but in ALL OTHER respects is identical (same account numbers, client, base, stret address, etc)....would not logic dictate that the street address of the merchant ALSO change to reflect that???
I just spent a half hour arguing this point with my bank while trying to send money....ARGH!!! GOD I wish my merchant took credit cards...it'd be SO much easier! -

Array I, as a rule, only conduct business personally and professionally though wire transfers, there's way too much credit card fraud internationally to risk it, plus the exchange rate is much lower via wire transfer than by credit card, the handling fee is like an eighth.
I will also do business by whisky, in tonnage. -
I understand your problem. I once lived overseas and my mailing address was basically along the lines of " intersection of first and main blvds, second street north, left at the third alley, second house on left" . The proper address was the same as giving directions! It was in a 2-1/2 world country where buildings went up when the building permit dept said they could, and no one ever told the traffic/road department. -

Array Maybe the problem is that the person with whom you spoke at YOUR bank was working from a phone bank in India. Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you! -

I know....my guy only accepts wire transfers anyway....the irritating things is, I've been sending him money for 2 years with no problems.....his actual address didn;t change, but the reference of the bank he's behind!

Nope....right in front of the teller at my bank in Mission Hills.... Similar Threads -
