    Iron Man Mask

So the Iron Man mask had eye slits, and the suit also had a clear covering for the "heart", what I'm wondering is did they use lexan? and if so does it need to be removed/changed every two years, or every few missile blasts?
What's the "real" world again? I don't think I can see it from my window

Exactly what I was thinking. It'd be very difficult to paint that image unto the mask like that without distortion. And even if you did, it'd look very odd when you look at it from any other direction.

It's not the fadedness that really gives it a way, it's the complexity of the paint. It'd be damned near impossible to paint those gradients on a mesh. Also those eyes wouldn't be as white on a mask, the gaps in the mesh should be more apparent.

Here's a simple and effective alternative

sound more like the precursor to the Starship Trooper armor described in RAH's original book.

This has been discussed before, I think the conclusion reached was that it's technically legal but if your opponent claims that it's distracting them you can't wear it. I think Milanoli wasn't allowed to use his clown mask in a few matches.
