Common problem. To prevent automated spambots from creating accounts and posting ads in the forums, there's some delay between creating an account and having your posts actually show up on the site. After a short period of time or some number of posts, your posts will start to show up immediately.

If you're posting a club in the clubs forum, I think that forum is normally for discussion of club business. Your announcement will get buried in other discussions. To help people find it in the long term, you should add a listing for the club to the f.net list. Up at the top of the page, click on the "Fencing Clubs" link. Then go to US Fencing Clubs, and add a listing for the club.
