Array That's easy for us to say. Jesus would use the flick. -

Array Pandora's Box Well, you've opened up a thread that's like asking Plato not to Plate. But here's an announcement first: At this time, even though there are many people who would aspire: Applications for the Priesthood at Taisekiji are not accepted from women, non-believers, or even people who would like to practice from nations other than Japan.
That is the difficulty and the grounding of my current philosphy on "life" if you will. My personal philosophy is grounded in Nichiren Shoshu Hokkeko founded in Taisekiji Japan. The problem of that is that while all people are invited to practice, only a very few people are accepted into the Fuji Gakuren School student priests.
They say that it is very difficult, that one needs to know the language and how to read, write and transcribe the teachings, the Gosho Zenju and other writings and to draw comparisons in order to teach, to know and understand the various ceremonies and so and and so forth. The spirit of the Teachings are difficult to know and more difficult to master but only practice over a lifetime can bring about understanding, which leads to my problem: how is it then that very young children can enter the Priesthood? The answer is probably simply because we, as laity allow it. I would personally like to see believers of all nations enter into the priesthood.
A few American guys have tried but didn't make it to the finish line. Even a few Gay men tried, and one was offered a spot but he turned down the offer. We don't know what was the reason.
It has led me to a sort of darkened view of humanity as a whole, that there seems to be no recourse for human beings, they continue to struggle against a rising tide of negativitiy, that even the warmest song is blighted the next day by a strong wind. No matter what kinds of political and social changes we make - unless people change their fundemental way of thinking and elevate themselves as human beings, we're in for a very difficult future.
It puts a damper on my own practice, yet I still practice for 25 years and some months. My personal view is then: while I feel that I have found a perfect religion, it is rife with what appears to be contradictions. However, upon 'thinking 9 times', we can find that there really aren't contradictions at all.
I've lost my sence of humor over the course of many years. But I have to be grateful for my religion. In conclusion: I will maintain my faith in Nichiren Shoshu and stay on the Temple's side. The sword of Good and Evil. -
