All photos from the Portland NAC/championships have now been posted, including additional action shots in existing galleries as well as some new all-action galleries. We've also reorganized the galleries to make them a little easier to access specific areas of interest.

A special thanks to photographer Chris Germano for providing great support and photos as part of our Portland coverage!

That's it, I'm done with the discussion forums on F.net. It's had its uses, but the ideologues, ranters, and "experts" have drowned too many of the conversations. I'm changing my password to something random and never logging in again.

Good thing he's not screaming...because in sabre screaming is...well, just not appropriate.

Really? I must have missed that memo....

Screaming I can deal with. Its the shrieking that curdles my blood!

No action shots from WS...or did I miss the gallery somewhere?

No, sorry ... we didn't get action from all the events (see my earlier, lengthy post in this thread). The images online, while not all of the photos we took, are the culled images from each event that was photographed.

You know, Inq, I've seen you fence. And I've watched you been taken apart by someone who just plain cared more. You could stand to have a little more passion in your fencing. You'd be surpised what actually wanting it can help you achieve.

Acting like you don't care is a defense mechanism. "Sure I suck but I don't really care all that much....
The same goes for not training very hard."
Then there is also the LOOK OVER THERE defense, "Sure I am not so hot but that person yells and looks so stupid. At least I don't do that"....
Gotta have some passion, take some chances, do some stuff.

Sadly, you both seem to believe that sound and fury are synonyms for "passion" and "caring".

I have some swamp land that I can let you have at a great price...

Are there any people less demonstrative than you above you on the points list?

    Yes.

Are there any more so below me?

    Yes.

    Neither argument proves anything.

Screaming does not equal "passion", and silence does not equal dispassion. Any more than wearing a US flag pin on your lapel proves patriotism, or than not doing so shows its lack. Demonstrating an emotion does not prove the reality of that emotion in a given situation, or we'd have no place for the people known as actors. Or acting teachers, for that matter.

You'd think that all of this would go wothout saying amongst intelligent people. Unless they were trying to defend a weak thesis, that is.
