    A POEM

    I once knew a lass
    Her name was Tass
She had a very fine ***

    Her breasts were like melons
    Oh! so very swellin'

    But I won't tell
    What she did with
    That very fine ***

I wrote this for a collage English class, got an A on it.

Any college (not collage) professor who would give something like that an A (no offense) shouldn't be teaching.

Sorry, but that's my professional opinion. I also don't feel this type of writing should be presented in this forum. It was rather offensive, to say the least.

Sorry.. I'm in a funny mood tonight and thought that was quite funny... Life's too short to grumble.

    Peace and joy!

In the proper place, in the proper context, it could be funny. This is not about "grumbling." I've expressed my professional opinion, which is of as much merit as anyone else's opinion. Speaking of a woman's body parts in this forum simply isn't called for.

That poem was written in 1971 in a bunker in a place call Vietnam. The poem was sumitted to my college teacher in 1972 two weeks after me and five other Vets stood back to back around the flag pole on the campus and dare two hundred protesters to come and get it. The flag was not torned down that day to be burn nor the next. The grade maybe of the stand around the flag. But it was published in a book of poems. And I was paid a nice amount for it.

That the story behind the poem it was born in combat.

    It's a wonderful story, Tim.
