    Olympic teams

US team is selected. How about MS, ME, WE, WS, WF for:

    France
    Germany
    Russia
    Hungry
    Italy

    Is this listed somewhere?

    Would love to know.

We know which countries will send teams, we don't know who will be the fencers on these teams. Countries qualify teams, then they have complete freedom as to who will be the fencers on these teams. They don't have to use the same fencers who enabled the country to have a qualified team.

The US is unusual in that our process is rather open, you can look up who will be on the team from the rankings. Other countries just have a national coach or committee decide who will fence for the country. The US used to have a more subjective process but have gotten away from it.

One aspect of a subjective system is that the countries have no problem replacing fencers because of injury. Or they may have a fencer who was injured during qualification but then recovers.

In which case, any guestimates for national squads from these countries. I would have thought that there's enough traffic across this website to get some insights from regulars.

Specially for the European teams, which seem to be the ones you are interested in, look at the FIE rankings and list the fencers from each country. They have been the most successful during the past year and their country probably looks at these results for a draft list.

Making the lists is left as an exercise for the interested reader.
