You did not specify a username for your post. Why do a large, but seemingly random, percentage of my attempts to reply to threads end up with "You did not specify a username for your post."? The response isn't posted, and yet if I try again I can't, because I'm told I'm trying to submit a duplicate post.
Didn't find anything searching the forums, so I'm wondering if I'm the only one with the problem? Nothing in the post seems really unusual...some use quote from other responses, some don't, some have weblinks, some don't. Quite frustrating.
Please, oh please let me have specified a user name for this post, whatever that means (and whoever the username is!). -

Array Happened to me when I was new. Not sure what causes it. I was going to post a helpful post about canting also. I've been detered from explaining it since then. ↕ Embrace both lines.

Array It happened to me too. I'm pretty sure it only happens when you try to post links when you're under a certain postcount. It'd be much more helpful of course if it actually told you that but instead you're given the baffling username error message. You'll be able to post links when you reach some magic post number, maybe 50? -

Array It doesn't seem to work then with all the spam for shoe sales. The error is annoying since you can't get around it with that post. ↕ Embrace both lines.

Array I tried taking out the link in my new thread topic, but it didn't work. This is perhaps one of the most annoying features I've ever crossed iin a forum. I hope they change that. Similar Threads -
