Plains Texas Division

I thought this forum might be a good place to start threads for each of the divisions in the Rocky Mountain Section to announce division officers and discuss items of interest to specific divisions.

The Plains Texas Division officers for 2008 - 2009 were recently elected at it's annual business meeting. They are:

Chairman: Robert Bauman
Vice-Chairman: Chuck Slaughter
Secretary: Aimee Nusz
Treasurer: Julie Clements

Congress Representatives elected were:
Bary Nusz
Chuck Slaughter
Alternates elected were:
Robert Bauman
Richard Howard

Rocky Mountain Section Representative: Julie Clements

I encourage the other RMS divisions to start their own threads in this forum.

The Plains Texas Division website is located at

www.plainstexasdivision.com

Election results were posted on the division website right after the meeting. Once all the national reports have been completed (and there are many) and sent to USFA by the division secretary, I have been assured that the minutes of the meeting will be posted on the division website by Aimee Nusz.

On the new RMS website there is a page dedicated to the Plains Texas Division. I welcome suggestions as to what else needs to be on that page. I've already put links to each of the division's club websites and a list of division officers.

Amarillo Open & AC Badger Youth Tournaments Set

Amarillo College Fencing Association will host the 9th Annual Amarillo Open Fencing Tournament in Amarillo, Texas, on October 25-26, 2008. Events scheduled include Senior Mixed Foil, Epee & Saber; Junior Mixed Foil & Epee; Senior Women's Foil & Epee; and Y10-Y12 Mixed Foil, Epee & Saber. This event is already on Ask FRED.

ACFA also plans to host the Amarillo College Badger Youth Fencing Tournament on February 7-8, 2009, in Amarillo. The Badger Tournament will have Mixed Foil, Epee and Saber events in Y10, Y12 and Y14 age groups. While this is NOT an RYC event, organizers plan on running the event in much the same fashion.
