    Peaking

It hasnt happened to me yet but my teammate feels as if his fencing has gotten to a point where he cant get any better than he already is. How do you keep from peaking in fencing.

    Do you just idk workout?

Your teammate is mistaken. Don't make the same mistake...

You prevent a plateau by continually asking better fencers and coaches for feedback on your fencing. If you can't find a thing to work on that you aren't really really bad at then you either are a top fencer (not the likely case) or you aren't understanding exactly how many things go into good fencing.

You could spend a year just working on the timing of footwork in your prep. Just keep your mind open to how many things affect the outcome of each point and how many points are in a bout and you should have your hands more than full. And if working on this stuff isn't helping your outcomes, seek professional help (I mean that literally).

IMGDO, that's not a peak, that's a plateau. People who are dieting and exercising to lose weight often hit a plateau. It's the same thing. Usually, a plateau indicates that the current methods have taken you as far as they can for now and it's time to shake up your routine and do something different.

Forgive me, but what is an idk workout? Did you mean to say "I don't know, workout?" I googled it and the second result is this thread.
The solution to your problem is to fence another weapon.

Probably plateau, normally a function of environment. Fence better people more.
