    Curacao Vet tournament

OK, I completely forgot, and I haven't seen anything resembling a report, much less results.

    Did anyone go?

Several Americans did win medals. I don't think they got their expected 200 International fencers.

    Thanks, Bill.

Oddly, the "Results" link takes me to the entry form for the tournament.

That much I saw. I was kind of hoping for the complete results, though...

I am afraid that might have been the complete results. Tom and Pat Lutton are lovely people, I was honored to attend their wedding. Last I heard Pat was unrated in Epee and an E in Foil. Jim Adams is almost 50 plus 20. I'm not saying they couldn't be successful, rather that a lot of likely competitors were not there.

I suspect an additional incentive for Pat and Tom to be there was another opportunity to "dance the taango".

So you're saying that they answered the question, "What happens when you have a tournament and nobody came?"

Does that explain why there was no 60+ men's epee listed (a most popular segment)? At first glance I thought it must be a mistake. Anyone know how many fencers there were?

I heard the events were quite small (ie. 6 in women's epee?). However, I also heard the whole thing was WONDERFUL. A ton of fun, incredibly nice people, beautiful place, etc. More like a great vacation with some fencing. However, I hope they do it again next year and that I am able to go. Hopefully, the second year more people will attend.

Apparently they are both foilists and only she is active in the Bay Cup which is why I didn't recognize the names. Looking at the lists he is an A07? but she is a "E-06" and she took the silver. Well congratulations to her. I'll bet they had fun.

    Easier to ask Jim Adams.

Looks like 12 US fencers and 7 others. A wonderful time was had by all.
