    Business managers

Do any clubs out there have a seperate business manager, or one coach who really focusses on the club as a business (and has appropriate training in that area?) How does it work out? Do they tend to end up payign for themselves?

I'm curious because I've seen many excellent coaches with very poor business sense, or clubs where people can learn to fence very well that are not very financially sound.

We are set-up as a non-profit and have people from our umbrela comperation, the AAYC handle the $$ and budget. It really helps and allows us to just focus on the fencing.

Our fencing budget is GREAT because our coach (me) is also the President of the BoD for the AAYC.

If you have specific questions feel free to call me. All my details are listed below...

Take at look at FAP, I think they have a coach or two with administrative specialties.
