senior Pacific Coast Section Championships and DIV1A

Curious about the process.. is it top 25% of the senior tourney at the PCC/PCS that will qualify to fence DIV1A at summer nationals? is that how that works or is it 40%..
if it is top 25%, do they round up-down or not at all?
if it is top 40%, do they use the rule of "Only the whole number of the value obtains when calculating 40% of the competitive field "

thanks!

If you're really curious about it, then read the USFA Athlete's Handbook. The answers to your questions are there.

Your answer is as follows:

• Place in the top 25% (with a minimum of 8) at the current season Senior Section Championships (see breakdown below)
OR
• Placed in top 8 at the previous season Division I-A National Championships
OR
• Placed in top 4 at the previous season Division II National Championships OR
• Be the current season Under-19 Section Champion

Apparently, the breakdown is as follows:

# Entries/# Qualifiers
1/1
2/2
3-12/3
13-16/4
17-20/5
21-24/6
25-28/7
29-32/8
33-36/9
37-40/10
41-44/11
45-48/12

Thanks MFP! Obviously I am "really" curious about this or I don't believe I would have asked.. Stupid me, I thought that by going to this forum I would have quite possibly encountered someone who would have the information that I was looking for since there are so many on this forum that are willing to actually help and have the brains to answer the simple question I was asking since i believed I asked for the time and not instructions on how to build a clock! (Phew, ran outta breath on that one) thanks again!
