    sabre camp 2008

I live in SC and would like to go to a sabre camp this summer. I've been fencing for almost 3 years with a student coached club. Is there anything sort of nearby? I don't mind flying but it can't cost too much.

Don't know your age range but the summer camp that Atilio Tass has at Brown in July attracts a lot of high school and middle school kids who seem to enjoy it a lot. They keep coming back, and you are right in the middle of Providence, an interesting city.

Go to the UNC camp after nationals.

UNC would be closer, and if this camp is run by Ron Miller as I think it is it should prove to be a good experience for you.

It's a great camp and IMO is the best overall "bang for your buck". The coaching staff is always very top-notch. The level of the fencers that attend always varies but as it appears that you're not a serious high-level competitor, that fact shouldn't affect your camp experience negatively at all.
