Whoa! When did LM redesign their blades?

Okay, so I freely admit I am not a big time LM guy, but I usually notice when a blade gets a major redesign. The LM blades I used in the past where sort of beefed up Leon Paul blades with a stiffer mid/forte and more weighted/balanced shoulder that gave it a bit more of a "BF feel" with the trademark LP lightness and durability.

So today I got a blade from a student (who got it either through Blade or PBT, not sure which) that is an LM but it is a BF clone! I was downright shocked. It does not look or feel much at all like my (01/07) Leon Paul K-Pro blade that started out life as an LM or like the older LM's I played with years ago. It looks and feels a whole lot like a BF.

The last LM I saw that was the way I remember (and like, if I want a BF I'll get a damn BF) was 01-07. This one is stamped 05-07. Has anyone else noticed the difference and when did they change? If a fencer wants the old style LM's when is the cutoff date?

Also anyone have any feedback on the durability/traits of the new style blade?

The only LM's I've ever used are BF clones and were made 5-8 years ago.
