USFA proof of membership

I mailed in my application for the USFA about a week ago (yes, I understand I'm only going to get a few months of membership out of it, I'm willing to renew it after July), but I'm worrying about whether or not it will come in time for a tournament I'm planning on attending in early April...

How long does it usually take for proof of membership to arrive in the mail? What do I do if it doesn't arrive before my tournament? Thanks in advance.

E-mail the USFA office ("member services", I think) and ask for an e-mail confirmation. Print out the confirmation and take it to the tournament.

The national office, in my experience, is very responsive - especially considering how lean the staffing is.

I had my membership card about 10 days after applying.

Membership updates are posted Thursdays. You could print your page, in the event that the tournament organizer hasn't downloaded/printed same.

Depending on where you go (ie, Massachusetts, parts of Texas...) the tournament organizer may have brought that Thursday's copy of the membership listings with them and prechecked everybody preregistered.
