| Parts Just a thought - if the adventures of all our Arconians were to be made into a movie, who would play the various parts?
Right now I'm thinking:
Zelda - Wynona Rider?
Lochinvar - Mel Gibson

| Sorry I would not want Winona Rider anywhere NEAR me. I want either Catherine Zeta Jones or Cate Blanchett or me!

| I have absolutely NO idea who would play Senyik or Larya, let alone Nękos. Senyik would have to be a big tall built guy; Larya...I don't know. Small, blonde, cute. Maybe like a younger Tea Leoni. Nękos would have to be about Matt Damon's height, but a lot smaller, wiry.
What about Angelo? Tellurine? Arcon?
Catherine Zeta Jones - yeah, that's good. Sarah Michelle Gellar - absolutely perfect! (Especially in just that little shift that we've been reading about...)

| I'd have it no other way for Sarah to play the princess. Who do you think the character (& her wicked counterpart Ken-Dall) is patterned after?
No, I don't look like her, Willow.

| This thread is entirely TOO funny. When I was younger (even now, the dreamer I am), I loved to put actors to my characters. I even went so far as to make a couple movie posters at one point. There was even a soundtrack. I guess it's my dream to someday have a screenplay for one of my stories...
Anyhoo...I'd have to sit & think about which actors/actresses would best match the characters. LOVE to know who people think Meekal should be!

| After watching Lord of the Rings with my husband tonight, I must say that I can see Meekal being played by the young man who played Pip, one of the Hobbits. He is loyal, he is true, and he can't help but make a mess out of things....as he did when they were in the caves of the Dwarfs.....
As for my character....we need someone who fits the spirit of the character. That's a hard one. Ok, yes, she has some of the same qualities as Alyson Hannigan who plays Willow on the Buffy series. Also, some of the qualities of Velma, of the Scooby gang. She is the ultimate best friend...loyal and true and honest. Who plays that best in the movies? I'll have to think about this...

| We're looking at appearances here, not characters they've played! What actors/actresses LOOK the part, not what characters are similar.
Example: Strider (Aragorn) from Lord of the Rings would get along with Nękos REALLY well. However, he's too tall and too big. Doesn't fit the description, physically.
C'mon people, get shallow here! Looks are all that count! Forget all that character and personality bull!!

| Looks and personality DO go together. Heck, if you want people to talk just looks, then they can pick anyone they want to play them. Heck, someone like Liv Tyler could play my character, if you want to talk looks. Or, I could go for big boobs and long hair, somewhat like the person I can't stand, Anna Nicole Smith. Sorry, but I feel that personality DOES affect your looks. So, the jury should still be out on who plays each of us. BTW, yes, I DO see LT as Tim Curry....LOL. That personality DOES shine through, doesn't it?

| Considering Moon (aka Buffy, as well as Ken-Dall) is based loosely on Sarah Michelle Gellar, I can't change my mind. I've been told I look like her. I also act like her. We have some of the same personality traits. Soo...I'd have to stay with that. No other actress could possibly fit that character.
Look wise, Tim Curry would fit Tellurine. He's got that look.
And Angel darling, I wouldn't mind Antonio being my character's "intended"...lol...maybe Moon wouldn't have run away if she knew HE was the one! Mandy Patinkin is too old.
When an actor is chosen for a movie (I've been there), looks aren't everything. The ability to play the character effectively comes into play. Looks might be "it" in stupid high school plays (sorry, bitter), but not always in movies. At least, not the GOOD ones.
