What should I get?

I have the chance to get either the Leon Paul saber x-change mask or the Blue Gauntlet saber visor mask. I'm in a bit of a pickle. So, can you help me choose which one to get please? Thanks

Do you plan to fence in World Cups in the next few years? Then get the visor mask, because they're required. Otherwise, go with the normal mask, because the visor ones are fugly and IMO both unsafe and cheat your opponent out of seeral square inches of target.

Well, but seriously, try a visor mask on first. Some people actually profess to like them. If you are truly balanced on your indifference cure, see above.

I'd get the LP for the replaceable bib, unless Inq's first sentence applies.

And if you are planning on competing at the World Cup level then I would recommend saving up for the LP X-change Vision 2000 saber mask.

The first thing to go on almost any saber mask is usually the bib. The ability to easily replace it when it fails inspection (as opposed to having to buy a new mask then and there) should be enough to offset the increased cost of the LP.
