Array F.Net's mask? How is F.net's basic mask for beginner fencers? I know FIE is typically reccomended, but it is for a young high school student who cannot afford FIE and has me looking for some of the best deals he can get. -

Array Not having used them for a long time, I can't tell you how well the mesh is going to stand up to punch tests over time. We have several in our club, including one that's been used for about 7-8 months now, and they all seem robust.
I certainly think there are better masks out there, but I can't name one at that price point. -
I'm not familiar with the product itself, but I've known Craig for a decent while and done a moderate amount of business with him, and I have every confidence all his products will be high quality. Some will be budget lines, of course, but I don't think he'd sell anything that sucks (unlike some places). -

Array The beginners at my club use the LP unisex Foil/Epee of 350N, or the LP unisex insulated 350N, they seem like a good deal for a beginner to me...
Sorry, but seems that i have a fixation with LP . -

Array We use them as club masks and as the default option in the starter kit we sell through the club. They last well, are decently padded and hold up to club use. For the price if you can't go FIE I would recommend them. Also the Absolute house brand mask is a solid bit of beginners gear. We have a bunch of those at the club as well with similar results and are equally happy with them. Just another lost soul saved by the (hit) First Church of EPEE!
