from the looks of it it's all manufactured by WuXi

I can make out a few of their (WuXi's) marks on the uniform labels.

Looking at the cuts of the gear and whatnot it actually looks like a factory I've heard of from Shanghai, WuXi's equipment was of a slightly higher caliber.
They wanted us to sell our factory and buy from them, but then I get dozens of calls/emails from various outfits in China/Korea/Pakistan.

I can always be wrong, a few of their item do look like Wuxi, and may be. Blurry net pics aren't good forensics.

Well, der. Are you now immune to his/her style of "English?" Quite frankly, I'm surprised that Craig even bothered to answer him/her.

What I mean is I'm suspicious of someone who "just joined" and has one or two posts and tries to draw everyone's attention to a product or service. YOU, I know, and I have ordered lots of stuff from you. With Craig, well, it hasn't worked out yet, but this is his site. Maybe I'm too suspicious, tho.

It's certainly easier reading poor English compared to actually talking to some people...Amanda's accent is VERY difficult to understand sometimes.

I wasn't even in "screening" mode when I saw the post - prob. hadn't had my allottment of caffine yet either.

If it was a ploy to get some US fencers to take a look at a UK site selling gear manufactured in China, then it snuck by me.

Gypsy - I get those emails all the time also. I love all of the half made web sites with motorcycle gear that have a "fencing glove" section shoved off to the side. That inspires confidence.

Honestly I have no idea about their gear, but I had to laugh when I pronounced the manufacturers name: "wooozie" Would I REALLY want to purchase from people that want me wobbling on the strip? Or perhaps they are wobbling around when putting their gear together?

From the above posts I would guess that WuXi is a reputable company (again I don't know) but seriously, their name!

There were allegations (denied by the FIE) late last year that Wuxi had, essentially, bought their FIE certifications.

It's pronounced Woo-She, I'd get hit here if I said it wrong...
WuXi is somewhat reputable, Dos Santos was at their factory not too long ago to certify it.

oh and Purple, the first month I worked here, I had no idea what she was saying, it resulted in a number of screw-ups... ah those were the days.

Oh I have no trouble understanding Amanda. Now Mr. Chen, that's a different story. I've had him yammer at me for 10 minutes and only got a vague notion of the subject he was trying to discuss.

When Amanda used to work for BG, she was the interpreter for Mr. Chen

Dos Santos doing anything has not been shown to be a sign of quality in everything I've heard.

now, to clear things up: no, that wasn't an advertisement.
i needed some protective gear and i needed it to be reasonably inexpensive so i asked for your opinion.

after gathering some more information i decided to give that Jiang brand a try and ordered their 350N sabre mask (no, not from the page mentioned above but from a distributor in Philipines this way it costed me $80 shipped to my door).
i can post a pic or two when it arrives

@erik_blank: Wuxi seems to be a name of a town not a brand

Jiang bodycords and sabreblades are ok. Ok, the blades needs a minor adjustment before they fit snuggly against the hilt, othervise they are fine.

Wuxi is the name of a brand. They have an FIE homologation for some of their gear.
