| Chicago(Rosemont) NAC E Safe travels to all that are attending next week. Once again we are getting snow this evening, and so far the weather does not look promising for next week.

| Thanks for the well-wishes. Should be exciting, since this will be my first commercial flight.
Good thing my flight is supposed to arrive in the morning the day before my first event. I assumed there were going to be delays. Hopefully the almost 24 hour margin of error will be good enough.
And coming from a Southerner who has seen snow only once in his life, the more snow the better.

See everyone there! | Lol. I can understand that. I will be there every day, but I am only fencing on Saturday. Set up is going to be a great amount of fun on Thursday.

| I grew up on the North Shore and remember the Oh so fun winters. I am coming in Friday for my Saturday event so I should (key word being should) be OK. I can get my equipment checked, shop for parts and be ready to go Saturday.
Good luck to everyone and remember there is a shiny new dollar in it If I just "happen" to beat you. And if I don't, boy,I'd brag about beating the guy who has had a stroke and two brain surgeries in the last year and 1/2.
See you there!!!!

| Yeah, I've got midterms Thursday too, and then a 4 hour drive plus NoVA traffic getting in at 10:54 (hey Catwood are you flying out of Dulles, cause we might be on the same flight). Luckily I don't have to fence till Sunday, it's just the whole reffing thing Friday morning.
But hey I'll actually get to use my winter jacket this winter...awesome! |

| We are heading out about 5:30/4:30 Chicago time for a 2 1/2 hour drive down I-94. We are planning on watching most of the events on Saturday, and of course stopping at the American Girl store (Michigan Ave) on the way home Nick has already told me to bring lots of money "because I want them fencing socks," and "can I get the new shoes?"
I'll be the frazzeled looking Mom with two kids in tow, and the couch lump following behind.

Safe trip down.

-B | ....*slaps self* I don't know. I just don't know anymore. I have a real job, salary, health insurance, I went to Vegas this past weekend for work and won 3k on a royal flush and didn't blow it all on booze and ... stuff. I'm no fun anymore. I think...I may be...growing up? Lame.

| What's the purpose of Div II and III NAC??? As it has been discussed before, if Div II and III are not that big of a deal, because it's not as competitive and no points are awarded, etc. etc., then, why are you all going?
My son fenced in Div II in NAC A while we were in Tucson for Cadet. He came in Third after fencing very strong young fencers and received his 'B'. We were ecstatic and he was so happy that he received his letter in a National tournament. But the reaction from the threads here and some of his peers and even coaches, was that Div II is not that important. I thought that was very discouraging. |
