Rewiring Leon Paul Fie Blades So I have a random question with the Leon Paul Fie Epee blade.
Since they use the Leon Paul Super glide point, what wire should I use? Does french wires from all star work? -

You can probably use a wire from another manufacturer - parts from different manufacturers tend to be far more compatible for épée than foil (IIRC at least one Fencing.net denizen has stated that he routinely uses PBT wires with his LP tips). However once you push the old plastic base out of the barrel yo may want to compare in with the new one just to make certain that it will fit into the old barrel.
Does french wires from all star work?
Out of curiosity, when did Allstar start making a "French" wire? -
not too sure, it was just the vendor said he carried french wires. This is in Canada btw. -

Array I use the Absolute wires with LP tips, but have also successfully used French (both sport7 and prieur), PbT, and German wires (both Uhlmann and FWF). -

Array I use LP wires, and have always been happy with them. -

Unless you get into some really odd ball tips, they all (lp,french, german, pbt) use the same size cup.
Check your contacts to be level before you set your wire and run with it.
PS: Allstar does not make a french wire. They only sell the German style with a red wire. Uhlmann's is blue as well as FWF's. Most french wires are red with a cotton insulation (sports 7). Prieur's (also french) are white cotton as well, not to be confused with PBT's white/bronze coloring. It can get confusing, I know!
Just buy a wire from someone you trust, set some time out to rewire your blade, turn the music up and have fun! Its very relaxing to me.
