In a Bit of a Bind...

    NO pun intended...

So.. I received my foil lame in the mail and it was too small.
Today I sent it back asking for an exchange to a larger size.

The problem is I still need to get my name printed on it for the Rosemont NAC.

Say I get my new lame back sometime next week, should I send it out to Marx Enterprises that soon before the NAC? Think it will be back in time?

    Or...

Do I take it to them at the NAC the day (Friday) before my event and have it printed there. I'm fencing Men's Foil Division III.. which is the 2nd day, Saturday.
    Is one day enough time???

I guess the last resort is 'sharpying' my knickers which could get replaced soon anyways.

Contact Marx just to be safe, but I am certain that they will be able to do it Friday. At the Summer Nationals, they had about a 25 minute turnaround on my new lame.

It's not that long of a process to have it done, whether there is other people wanting it done also may be a different story.
    ↕ Embrace both lines.

    I'd go with option B.

i agree with HDG. contact Marx and make sure they will be at the nac. it only takes about 20-30 min. to get a name printed. bringing your lame to the venue will probably be the safest thing to do b/c if you send it out, it might not get back in time.....

I saw them do a guy in my pool in less than 10 minutes. (2 bouts)

Marx had mine done in less than half an hour. If you get there earlier enough in the day, he can do it for you then before you fence... assuming your event starts later. And while you wait, you can play XBox!!
