| Dear Fencergrl,
How do you get it across to someone that you are just friends without hurting their feelings?
I have even had conversations with him, but we always end up at the same place. He is one of my best friends (such a cheesy term) and I don't know what I would do without him. But would space be a good thing? I don't want it to be out of the blue, but whenever I bring it up or something he gets all sad?
Ehhhhhh,
Me.
(btw I know this is silly teenage drama, but I dont know what to do)
P.S
How was my spelling and capitilization xD ?

| Dear FG,
Where do I get more beer at 2 am in a place that doesn't sell alcohol to take home after 10 pm?
Sad and sober and obviously alone

(btw I know this is silly teenage drama, but I dont know what to do) | Dear Eh? Me,
You know what you want. Unlike him, your decision is based on something other than raging hormones.... no worries my dear, your time will come.
He's a horny teenage boy, and they all behave strangely, so don't doubt yourself (oddly enough, you're the sane one in this equation). He won't be the first person to try and manipulate you and he won't be the last. So get used to standing up for yourself from time to time. It's part of growing up.
As for losing him as a friend.... Friends are respectful of your decisions even when they don't agree with them. If he isn't.... he's not your friend or at least a very good one. So don't take any bull, you're better than that. Quote:
P.S
How was my spelling and capitalization xD ?
| It was fine, and I appreciate the effort.

Sad and sober and obviously alone | Dear Sad, Sober and Alone,
You work in a friggin' bar!!! When no one's looking turn on the draft beer tap and open your mouth. Or find an apple juice bottle and filler-up.... then you can sip on your "juice" all evening.
As for the alone bit... I made my offer before you reached your cougar bait expiry date. So I did my bit...

| Dear FG Your date of birth and age are displayed in several places on the forum. Only the administrator will have access to your date of birth should you choose to hide it via the privacy option below.
Please contact the Administrator if your date of birth has changed
If I change my date of birth to something more recent, would it save on plastic surgery costs?
Could we pretend to be other users and change there dates? Perhaps make neinteen therrten?

Age, gender, nationality and/or species (speaking of Neinteen) can all be easily changed giving you a completely different perspective of the world. I encourage you to explore the older/ younger/ feminine/ East Indian/ Vulcan side of you. Quote: |

| Yes.... but too many aliases can be tiring and a little confusing.

| Dear FencerGrl:
How does it feel to have solved the worlds problems? Not a whine or a snivel since the 17th. Way to go.
Since you have been so good, so far, perhaps you can tell me how to keep my hand in 6 and not let it drift into the middle........ so that bad people will stop hitting me on my arm.

| I need advice Dear Fencer Girl,
I need your advice.
My club is an hour commute. It has a decent coach who encourages competing and I enjoy the comradery there and all, but it does eat a lot of time and gas. The local university in the same town I work has a fencing club in its infancy. These students consist of fencer wannabes and some who fenced in high school, but can only get together one hour, once a week.
I feel I have something to offer the students if they really want to learn how to fence, even tho we don't have time for footwork, etc.
I have been told that I will pick up bad habits if I only fence with people who don't know what they're doing. I certainly enjoy fencing and competing, but realize I will always be a recreational fencer.
Herein lies the need for your infinite wisdom.
Am I going to really mess up my fencing if I practice with the students? |

In my case, there are worse clubs that are closer, but the coaching style and the fencers' styles are all different. It may be better suited to you, but I don't think you should risk it. And no, if you practice the "good" stuff insanely (like an hour a day), or if the not-so-good club has an insanely good coach (I doubt it), you won't get "bad habits". You most likely won't further you skill in fencing either...
