| April 12-13 @ CU Boulder That is my understanding after talking to Aaron. The Colorado Divisionals(Div II, III, Team) will be a week earlier. |

| Thanks DF,
Yes, I just got confirmation from Aaron that the date is April 12-13, and the location is Boulder, Colorado.
This is the same weekend as the Capitol City Youth Classic (RYC), in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Aaron mentioned that this date was settled on last fall, but the location wasn't settled because of some issues with the availability of the USAFA who was originally slated to host the event.
Today, we are only 8 weeks away from this event and there has been to my knowledge ZERO effort to communicate any information to the public. This is simply irresponsible in this modern age. Even if the location is not firm, it is easy enough to put up a "save the date" notice on the RMS-website, or ASKFred.
Bad show, RMS.... Bad Show.

The issues with AFA aren't issues related to the availability of the venue, but rather with its cost (which the Academy Ath Dept has never been able to satisfactorily address) and with the somewhat spotty communication with them.
As I've noted both in person and in emails to others, the date was formally announced publicly on here back in October in the "Upcoming Events" section: http://www.fencing.net/forums/thread32726.html
Other matters have been pending finalization of the venue, and it was at last year's sectional meeting that the membership indicated a preference for the Air Force Academy and/or hosting in Colorado Springs. Given the exigencies of timing, it was my personal decision, with the help of Colorado Division members, to pull the plug on continuing to try to work out those issues and go back to CU Boulder so that the tournament could be posted on AskFRED for registration, which should happen by the end of the week.
regards
aaron

| Registration deadlines approaching! For those who don't bother reading either their mail, their email, or the "More Info" pages on AskFRED ... The deadline for regular fee entry to Sectionals is tomorrow, April 2! No fooling!
It will cost an extra $50 to complete registration after tomorrow. This includes those who have started preregistration, but have not paid!

| With the exception of the Men's Epee, just about everyone that pre-registered has paid. (Of course, no one expects epeeists to do anything quickly!)
