Album titles in lyrics Here's a challenge a friend of mine posed:
What is the name of an album whose title is said in the lyrics, but which is not also the name of a song on the album?
For example, Magical Mystery Tour by the Beatles doesn't count because even though it's both a lyric and the title of the album, there's also a track by that name.
We came up with one good one and one that kind of worked, but I won't spoil it for you. -

Array The quintessential one is probably:
"Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd ("I'll see you on the dark side of the moon") [Brain Damage]
One that might be stretching it:
"1" by the Beatles. ("he one spinal cracker") [Come together]
Then you've got the albums with one-word titles, like:
"Up" by REM ("I've woke up stone drunk, face down in the floor") [Sad Professor]
"War" by U2 (" And gold is the reason for the wars we wage.") [New Years Day]
Also, a lot of "best of" albums use a line from a song--like REM's "And I Feel Fine....Best of the IRS years, 1982-1987."

Array As Philistine said there are tons of album titles like that. I looked through my fave group Depeche Mode's albums and came up with two:- Some Great Reward (Lie to me)
- Construction Time Again (Pipeline)

Array Here's a stretch:
Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden
Track 2 is called Eden, but the word 'spirit' is used is in track 6: I believe in you ... without remorse for the past, confident in the present, and full of hope for the future, [d'artagnan] went to bed and slept the sleep of the brave.

House Arrest (track seven): "We've been waking up the neighbours, bouncing off the walls, hanging off the ceilings. We'll be dancing in and out of the halls! Can't you, just this once, f*** off? -

Array John Martyn. Album title "No Little Boy" is part of the refrain from "Ways to Cry". Almost a compilation album, I think this was the only previously-unreleased track. Robert Smith
