Absolute Advanced Glove

Has anyone encounted it or used it? Is it better than the regular $10 one? Also what size is 7.5? Is it like a small? Thanks

7.5 is a small size. This link (scroll to the bottom) will explain the sizes and how to measure your hand... there's even a video. http://shop.fencing.net/Articles.asp?ID=108

I use it, it is decent but nothing remarkable. Durability makes it worth the price increase.

It is a good beginner/mid range glove. All of the regular AF gloves are very durable for the money. The main thing you are paying for in this one over the basic glove is that the Advanced glove is sized, and therefore gives a better fit than the basic glove. It also has a slightly more supple feel. Lifespan wise I have actually found them to be equal or superior to the much more expensive Uhlmann gloves so they are a very good choice for beginner/mid range gloves.

Our club bought around ten of these gloves, and I'm not impressed.

The fit is fine, the padding is fine, and whatever else is fine. It's an ok glove. However, one ripped on a hand hit the very first time being worn and the others seem to be weathering no better than any other glove.

I recommend the fencing.net competition glove. It is, in my opinion, a better glove.
