I will miss Brett Favre, it will hardly seem like the Packers without him.

| OK, the season schedules are out. What do you think or your team's docket? I think my Bills will go 8-8 or 9-7.

| Hmmm. I think my team may challenge for first place in the AFC East.
I suspect they will go...12-4. |

| At this moment I'm not overly optimistic. The roster changes will make the team better, but not great. The Eagles will probably go 10-6.

| Ok, if the eagles are going 10-6, I'm going to have to say the Skins go 11-5.

| I have a feeling the Lions are not going to get more than 6 wins this year. Oh well. |

| Goodell asked the Lions to take the off-season to think about whether they really should stay in the professional football industry. |

| Draft thoughts anyone? How do you think your team did/is doing in this years draft.
I have no idea if the players that the Lions drafted are any good or not but at least this year they are drafting the right positions. They drafted an OL first and so far they have drafted 2 LB's, a DT, and a RB (yay no receivers! Edit: Oops, spoke too soon, one in the fifth).

Also, being an MSU fan I was happy that Devin Thomas went to a team like Washington where he will have a chance both to play and to actually win. |

| Holy crap, odd day. Go from losing 2 DEs to mystically getting Jason Taylor.

| Super Thursday! OK...It's Super Thursday of the NFL Preseason! I'm not going to fencing practice today so that I can see our third-stringers against their third-stringers. Although, I will be at the Rochester club this afternoon to help repair the rafters which broke in the tornado a week or two ago (yeah...tornado damage to a fencing venue in New Hampshire of all places!)
Any Jets fans here? Whaddaya think about ditching a young(ish) washed-up QB for an ancient soon-to-be washed-up QB? Will he make an impact? Is (m)angini daft? Or is he brilliant? |

I still don't think the Jets are a serious contender, but adding Favre to the mix could change the outlook of the AFC East. Obviously, the Pats should roll to another division title, probably winning all six games. But the battle for second just got a little tighter. I still think Buffalo will finish second, going 4-2 or 3-3 against the Pats, Dolphins and Jets.
